When I was a kid a friend of mine lived in a newly built development that was on hill in the woods. The developers had clear cut the hill and taken all the remnants of this dense forest and put it in an old quarry. My friend and I used to go exploring in the briar patch of tree branches and shrubs and weeds. We invested this detritus with it's own mythology that we called "The Legend of the Zodiac" Earlier today I attempted to recreate this plaything from my childhood in the woods outside of Philadelphia in miniature.
